scary dream. dreamt r & I were on a big island in a lake that had a resort vibe, kind of like tan-tar-a in the ozarks. there were these boilers run by robots that cooled off in the lake. the lake was was getting too hot but the robots were lying and said it wasn't. I was trying to evac people, but only some were listening. I made a video about it that went viral. none of the human staff on the island believed me though, they said if the robots were saying it was okay, then everything was fine. I lost my phone somewhere & had to look all around for it and was convinced the robots were doing it to keep me there for the overheating/ explosion. the staff told me I had to get a covid test before I could look through their lost and found & wouldn't look for me. I ended up finding my phone on a couch & immediately left to try to go to Chicago, which was in the mountains.i realized my hair was long again.

riding around in scooterr, hard to use. I had flyers I was hanging that said "I like to kick and street fight, but I lose by a landslide." j had a sign that said he likes mud and landslides. I had to stop hanging up my flyers because they were too similar to his.

then i remember walking through netting wrapped around a huge tree. someone telling me I couldn't walk with them there and me telling them they could go find somewhere else to walk then because I was staying in the tree

I was at a huge party that was also at school. teachers were fighting about who took what in the teachers lounge because some of them had been accused of taking things & there were these teacher cops in red but no one knew if I'd been accused too. I started to see people I knew at the party. it was a Halloween party but some people were dressed plainly. i was in a darth vader costume. saw CL & gave him a hug & caught up. mingled with other people I knew until finally I saw h & g. we went to sit outside on these big carpet squares in different shapes. H didn't get a shape in time & I made these large yellow cones fall from the sky & they melted into circle carpet shapes & we all laughed about how they had to sit on the ones that were cones. I had seen my friend C earlier from high school cross country but didn't get to talk. he had slipped a letter into my phone case & I took it out & it had an art piece with a water color blue sky backdrop & some things collaged on top of another letter & the note said the piece was free & came from his collection of art that was being made into stamps. there was also a stick of gum in it. I started to ask h & g if I should open the letter that was on the art piece but they both shrugged & made it clear it was my choice. I woke up.

I had a silly one the other night that involved a friend dressed like the riddler from the old batman, sitting in the back of a car, knocking on the window with a super big cane & calling over at me and some other friends & asking us to do something for them (non-threatening). Other dreams recently have been kind of whimsical feeling but when I wake up, I only remember the feeling & bright colors.

I remember mess. a bird sitting out in the middle of it, a raptor. my friend k's face up close.

dream: bit off one of my toenails & got weird looks for it. had a heart to heart with a friend. woke up to something that sounded like a modest mouse song but I don't know if it's a real one or not

dreamt les & I worked for npr. we were reporting about something sensitive, covert government something, but it also had to do with music and the person we interviewed made all these baked goods and they were lying around everywhere. there were a lot of people around who i used to know from KTRM. we were stressing out because we had to get a gift for someone important we were interviewing next. les decided what to buy and I just paid for half. I got taken aside & thought I was in trouble but it was just a performance review and I was doing fine.

later, les, Li, and i were in the lobby of the person we needed to interview next. very dimly lit, no windows, felt ornate and spacious but old. we were trying to get upstairs. the first set of stairs was blocked by a cage and a man who worked for the hotel with gaunt eyes stood outside. the 2nd staircase was just super dark so we went up & found it lead to nowhere, just a wall at the end. we went back and talked to the hotel man and gave him the name of the person we needed to see. "A," and then he unlocked the gate to let us through. We got to the top, maybe 3 stories and it was also a dead end but it was a drop off with railings & after a 10 ft gap was the hallway we needed to get to. li and les attempted to jump and fell. I hesitated and finally decided not to jump and met them back downstairs. we didn't tell the doorman, but we tried the elevator & it was locked. li cast a spell & unlocked the gate to the lift & we got in & I woke up.

I was on an elevator that was an orb you curled into, but one side didn't close shut like it should've and you had to stay tucked close or you'd slide into the moving wall like a cheese grater. when I got off the elevator I saw a child with a train car for a head, Rock torso & arms, and prosthetic legs. he reminded me of one of my kids from school. I took his hand and we found his mother who was a rock troll, 8 or 9 feet tall. I was afraid a little, but she was gentle and gave me a welcoming glance.

the dream continued downstairs with some more people. something to do with a poker game with around 15 people in a big room with a wall through the middle. A, R, and Joe Biden were playing, the rest strangers. we chose a different room that was more 4-petal clover shaped with the walls, like cubicles kind of. you had to choose a person 1-2 cubicles ahead to the right and guess who had chosen you 1-2 cubicles behind to the left. I remember who I picked, but not who picked me.

in dream ended up in this valley where I noticed that the trains that came through were all good for covert rides. plenty of hiding spots in between cars. was there with someone else for a different purpose (camping? important meeting?) but plotted in my head when I could do it.

dreamt I was in love with a woman with long strawberry blond hair. I mostly remember her smiling at me and the two of us laughing, and our faces close together. and thinking, am I really in love? do I know her? but still feeling so comfortable.

dreamt r & I lived in a big apt & he was a teacher. he was housing some students in our spare room but didn't tell me & I just found them & they were very kind and grateful. the ceiling began to leak and cave in. our neighbor upstairs peered down & inasked how they were up there bc we don't have an upstairs neighbor. r's family came to visit while everything was caved in. then there was a stadium. I had some items out on a shelf. someone took some earrings and I pretended not to be bothered, but moved the rest of the items into a box. there was a library again. more light in the library but less welcoming than other library dream.
